Bittersweet Goodbye's
PWH had a bittersweet summer, saying goodbye to our OG Medical Supply Program (MSP) crew and welcoming two incredible replacements.

Marie was a colleague of Elizabeth's for many years in the PACU at Maine Medical Center before taking over PWH's MSP; If you were in need of medical supplies or equipment, Marie was your gal! Rita, a long time volunteer, became Marie's official partner in crime last year, helping to organize and manage the many requests from our community. They, simultaneously, decided to go back into retirement and spend time enjoying their [beautiful] gardens.
So, everyone, welcome Ann and Savannah!

Ann joins the PWH team after recently retiring from her career as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the NICU at Maine Medical Center. Since 1999, Ann has been traveling on medical mission trips to Nicaragua, Bangladesh and Uganda, providing education, training and delivering medical supplies to the local nurseries. For years, she has been a huge asset to PWH’s Medical Mission Program.
Savannah graduated with her B.S. in Healthcare Studies and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy. She has spent several months on humanitarian aid trips to Nicaragua and Albania and spent three months in Salt Lake City, UT working with newly arrived refugees from across the globe. She hopes to continue pursuing her passion for occupational therapy and serving those with barriers to healthcare both in the local community and in developing nations.
